HE WALKS EVERY PATH BESIDE ME: a poem by ed

There isn't any hope to be found,
in a broken brain, only pain.

You can cry out to the world,
but they are deaf to your despair.

Your soul will long for solace,
from the silent torture it endures.

Your eyes will remain as sad as those,
of an old hound alone on a front porch.

I have a friend who walks beside me,
so I never have to go it alone.

He walks every path beside me,
just as He hung on the cross for me.

He hung on the cross and arose for you too
so you don't have to walk alone either.

Just stop and hold the air in your lungs,
in that moment you will feel Jesus near.

Yes He will walk beside you down any path,
no matter how hard and painful.

It will be better if you will only let
Him walk every path beside you.
