PRAYER for Today:
Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

MORNING WORSHIP MUSIC:
"In My Father's House" - ( Elvis Presley )

SCRIPTURE LESSON for Today:
John 14:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Comforts His Disciples

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

SERMON for Today:

HE WENT AHEAD TO LIGHT THE WAY: a poem by ed

Have you ever walked alone
to an outhouse on a moonless night,
or gone to bed as a child
after watching a horror movie?

Have you driven a dark road for miles
without seeing another car,
or walked an inner city street
looking for a place to sleep?

Think of the time you felt most alone
your heart pounding in your chest
and fear ripping at your soul
like a bear eating its kill.

Oh! I wish you knew the Man
who went on ahead to light the way
for all of us to have a place
that He has prepared just for us.

Your fear would melt away
and the path would be lit up.
Your heart would beat like ocean waves
and you would sleep at home.
